Hailing from the Lone Star State, Mr. Dressler attended
undergraduate school at The University of Texas at Austin and
received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1998.
Upon graduation, Brett practiced as a trial lawyer in Houston,
TX and taught trial advocacy as an Adjunct Professor and
Director of Varsity Trial Advocacy at South Texas College of
Law. Brett was inducted into the Order of Barristers and was
named South Texas College of Law Dean’s Most Outstanding
Advocate for 1998, after twice winning the ATLA Regional Mock
Trial Tournament and earning the Best Advocate award at NITA’s
national Tournament of Champions.
Brett’s trial and appellate experience primarily consists of
handling complex commercial litigation cases; however, he also
has considerable experience in insurance coverage disputes,
construction litigation, personal injury matters, legal and
medical malpractice claims, attorney fee disputes,
constitutional rights violations, and a variety of other
experiences that enable him to solve problems by thinking
outside the box. Brett is also a Captain in the United States
Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Brett and his wife
Melinda, along with their family of cats and dogs, reside in
Concord, North Carolina.
