Mark Gott graduated from Liberty University in 1990 with a B.S. degree in Political Science and from Regent University School of Law in 1994. Mark was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1995, and was admitted to practice in Alabama in 1998. Mark qualified for admission to the District of Columbia bar in 1998 as well. Mark is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of North Carolina and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Fifth Circuits.

Mark was formerly employed as Assistant Clerk of Superior Court in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. In that capacity, he presided as a Hearing Officer over incompetency proceedings, foreclosures, default judgments, name changes, adoptions, and will probate matters.

Mark is a board member for the North Carolina Community Association Institute. Mark is a member of the Mecklenburg Bar's Finance Committee. Mark is former chairman of the Mecklenburg Bar's Public Media Committee and has served the bar on the Continuing Legal Education Committee. Mark Gott has also taught several Continuing Legal Education courses. Mark has been a guest on WBT radio’s "The Keith Larson Show" on several occasions and has served as a panelist on the Mecklenburg Law Forum television show. Mark has been interviewed on WBTV and WCCB news programs concerning legal issues. Mark has also written several articles for the Charlotte Observer’s Ask a Lawyer column.

Mark concentrates his practice in the area of foreclosure, civil litigation and elder law. Mark Gott is also a District Court Arbitrator. In that capacity, Mark had the highest resolution rate for all Mecklenburg County District Court Arbitrators for the calendar years 2004 through 2008.
