Robert earned is undergraduate degree from Furman University.
Robert graduated magna cum laude from undergraduate school in
1976 and was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1979, he
graduated with honors from The University of Georgia School of
Law where he served on the Georgia Law Review and as Honor Court
Justice.
Robert is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial
Lawyers and has extensive experience in workers’ compensation,
Social Security disability and alternate dispute resolution. He
has assisted thousands of individuals at all levels of the
administrative process, from hearings to the state and federal
appellate courts. As a certified mediator in the Superior Courts
of North Carolina, he handles mediations in cases pending before
the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
Robert is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Carolina
Peacemaking, an independent, non-denominational ministry that
assists Christians and churches in resolving conflict. He has
mediated and arbitrated cases involving family and marriage
conflict, business and employment disputes, and between church
organizations.
A published author, Robert has written several novels in the
legal/suspense genre. Additional information about this aspect

children and attend St. Giles Presbyterian Church (EPC) in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
